Brother won four "iF Product Design Award 2010"

Brother Industries, Ltd. (President, Toshikazu Koike, hereinafter Brother) has won a German international award "iF Product Design Award 2010" (hereinafter iF design award) on its four products including "Brother Document Viewer" launched in 2009 in Japan and other products such as A4 paper size color multi-function printer.

A new downsized engine allowed producing a compact size color printer which is mainly used at business scene. This color printer satisfies users' various needs including high quality color print.






·Electric Paper Brother Document Viewer SV-100B
A 15.5 mm thickness Electric Paper displays data on a 9.7 inch wide display, which is excelled in not only its portability but also thrifty power consumption.






Besides above three products, another product which has not been released yet received the iF design award

The iF product design award is hosted and judged by the iF-International Forum Design Hannover in Germany. This is one of the most authorized international design competitions which was started from 1953 to select the best product design from the entries across the world.

Criteria for judgment include not only an external appearance and forming but also functionality and environmentally friendliness are counted. The iF design award is extremely prestigious across the world due to these criteria for examination.

For the 57th iF Product Design Award 2010, there are 2486 entries from 39 countries. Since 2007, Brother received four iF product awards for the third consecutive year. As a result, it received twenty awards in total.

We assume that the iF design award is given to the sustainable product designs which are not affected by trends and attract consumers throughout the ages. Therefore, we are extremely honored to receive these awards, and Brother will continuously make efforts to purse improvements in design quality to participate such worldwide competitions.
